About Dance Discovery
Dance Discovery was set up in 2013 by Clare Conafray with its main aim of ‘Inspire and Nurture’.
We specialise in RAD ballet, ISTD Tap and Modern, Hip-Hop, Acro, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Clubbercise for ages 18 months to Adults.
The main aim of the dance school is fun and enjoyment while working towards RAD & ISTD exams throughout the year. We also have various performance opportunities which we encourage pupils to attend, such as gala days, Christmas fairs and our own annual showcase which is the highlight of our year held at The Brunton Theatre.
Clare Conafray
Clare graduated in 2004 from Dance For All Theatre School in Edinburgh gaining an HND in Professional stage dance along with RAD ballet and ISTD modern and tap teaching qualifications. Since leaving college she has also gained teaching certificates in UKA Highland Dancing, Acrobatic Arts, and Clubbercise.
She has performed in a number of different shows in her Professional career; Littlecote House Hotel, Hungerford (where she performed Musical Theatre Shows every night), The Taste of Scotland Show at the Prestonfield House Hotel, The Edinburgh Military Tattoo and UK Break dancing conventions as well Pantomines in Motherwell. She has also danced at a number of one-off shows in The World Cruise Ship, SECC Glasgow, Stirling Castle and Melville Castle.
